inD Theatre is now casting for its May 2025 production of "Proof", written by David Auburn and directed by Steve Lambert.

Rehearsals and performances will take place on Bainbridge Island. All actors will receive a stipend of $1100.

 

inD is committed to an open and inclusive casting process. The right person for the role will express the essence of their character, and will not necessarily conform to an expected race, gender, ethnicity, physical abilities, or body type. Actors of color, gender non-conforming actors, and deaf or disabled actors are encouraged to request auditions.

 

All roles are available. The script specifies four roles:

• Robert, 50s 

• Catherine, age 25

• Hal, age 28 

• Claire, age 29

AUDITION DETAILS: All audition appointments are by invitation only. Auditions will be held in small groups by appointment from 6:00-9:00 pm on Sunday, December 8 on Bainbridge Island (0.8 miles from the ferry) and from 6:00-9:00 pm on Monday, December 9 also on Bainbridge Island (4 miles from the ferry). Actors will be pre-assigned to a time slot of approximately 50 minutes in duration. Once confirmed for an audition slot, actors will be sent sides for use during the audition. There is no expectation to have these sides memorized, but please be familiar with the text and bring hard copies with you if you are able.

 

REHEARSALS: All rehearsals will take place on Bainbridge Island. Regular rehearsals will begin Monday, March 10. Rehearsals will run from 6:45-9:45 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled for Saturday afternoons, April 12 and/or 26 at the discretion of the director. Not every actor will be called to every rehearsal. Load-in and tech will be on Sunday, April 27th, time to be determined.​

PERFORMANCES: All performances will take place at Rolling Bay Hall on Bainbridge Island with a call time 1 hour before curtain.
