inD Theatre is now casting for its October 2025 production of "Godspell", book by John Michael Tebelak with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. The show will be directed by Jalyn Green, with Music Direction by Will Sanders, Vocal Direction by Shannon Dowling, and Choreography by Philippa Myler.

 

Below you will find a form to submit an audition request. Please take a few minutes to review the following details.

 

Rehearsals and performances will take place on Bainbridge Island. 

 

All actors will receive an expense stipend of $1400. (No additional funds available.)

 

inD is committed to an open and inclusive casting process. The right person for the role will express the essence of their character, and will not necessarily conform to an expected race, gender, ethnicity, physical abilities, or body type. Actors of color, gender non-conforming actors, and deaf or disabled actors are encouraged to request auditions.
 

There are ten roles in Godspell, and one ensemble role has been pre-cast, leaving nine available roles: Jesus, John/Judas and seven ensemble roles. All songs are available with the exception of "Turn Back, O Man".

 

AUDITION DETAILS:

All audition appointments are by invitation only. Submission of the form below does not guarantee an audition slot, but you will be informed either way. Auditions will be held in small groups by appointment from 3:00-9:00 pm on Sunday, March 2 on Bainbridge Island in Winslow (0.8 miles from the ferry) and from 6:00-9:00 pm on Monday, March 3 also on Bainbridge Island in Rolling Bay (4 miles from the ferry). Actors will be pre-assigned to a time slot of approximately 50 minutes in duration. 

 

Once you are confirmed for an audition slot, you will be sent sides for use during the audition. This audition will be a singing audition. There is no expectation to have these sides memorized, but please be familiar with the material and bring hard copies with you if you are able.

 

REHEARSALS:

Rehearsals will take place on Bainbridge Island.  Rehearsals will begin Saturday, August 17. Rehearsals will run from 6:45-9:45 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Additional rehearsals will be scheduled for Saturday afternoons at the discretion of the artistic team.

 

Sitzprobe on Saturday afternoon, October 4. Load-in and tech will be on Sunday, October 5, call time to be determined.
